Dr. Bigelow is originally from the southside of Indianapolis, having attended Franklin Central High School. She graduated Cum Laude from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, with a Bachelors degree majoring in biology and minoring in religion. In 1998, Dr. Bigelow completed medical school at Indiana University, followed by residency training at St.Francis Hospital in Indianapolis (now known as Franciscan Health). She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and received the Degree of Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice in 2007.
From 2001 to 2012, she practiced medicine in Mooresville. Then, her family moved to Belize, Central America for two years where she treated patients at a small clinic in a rural village. She founded IHHFM in 2014.
She serves on the Board of Panhurst Farms, a Kingdom building agribusiness in Morocco, and is one of the Medical Directors for Clarity Pregnancy Services in south Central Indiana. Dr. Bigelow leads a women’s Bible study at Grace Church Camby and enjoys photography, scrapbooking, reading, traveling and most of all, spending quality moments with her family.
